Ride_003 back in foto action thanks to the sharp eyes of meghan. charger was sitting in the outlet behind the table all along. im terrible at finding lost items.

fenders and rain jacket went unused today, despite the chances of rain. still rockin the knobbies, im still not certain were in the clear. wish i was able to wear bibs and short sleeves. soon enough though i'll be bitchin about the heat. new words are out there. get enlightened.

ive taken a clue from jesse and moved all things cross over here. "nothing of us is original, we are the combined effort of everyone we have ever known."

last weeks supposed solo training camp proved to be nothing more than something like twenty three hours in the saddle. sounds pretty ordinary. the work week kept me busy. the weather kept me on my toes. the ship came in, first meghan then jesse w/ t-da still mia. i am envious of meghan's tales of eighty degree sun. to add insult to injury, jesse goes on about his three hour climbs and this thing i like to do, mountain biking.

easter found the sorry sight of me getting dragged around by jesse for the first century of the season, me in an all out bonk fight. with fairly mild temps we explored westward towards arena before looping south to blue mounds. we took the t-da route turning north east to a figure eight north of cross plains. otto kerl in full effect. we managed to get by with only a few little flurries before the snow came once again.

today's threats of rain held out and i managed to get out on the favorite ride in my arsenal. a quarter of the four hours were spent mashing into a thirty plus mph headwind. aside from that, the scenery and route were top notch. clear roads and some solid tail wind on the way in. still no pics but hopefully i'll have a new charger soon.

just lettin the 'stache settle in. now then. with most of the crew off in the sun or mountains it's been solo all week. the plan was to have my own training camp right here. working eleven hour days isnt exaclty conducive to that, but im makin it work. a few hours before work, a few hours after. a lot in the dark. a couple more days and i'll have company again.

Ebay_001 about as creepy as it gets. get some.

spring is in the air and its evidenced by the loads of bike path warriors (bpw from here on out) out on the prowl. i havent been super commutered just yet, but im sure its coming. last summer it was a battle royale nearly every morning. i'd be leisurely commuting to work and this a-hole bpw just had to try to show me whats up. being the competitive athlete i am, i could never let it go. once in a while i'd catch him from behind. he'd see me coming from blocks away and start hammering. one day i came from the back and rolled up next to him. i said hi. nothing. maybe he's deaf? i wave. nothing. i mumbled something about him being a prick and super commutered his ass. temps in the mid thirties, semi-clear roads, two days off work...time to get down. i roamed out timber through riley. tried a new route going south through klevenville and into mt horeb. i turned just shy of blue mounds back to black earth and cross plains. the day put me at four and a half and i felt pretty good. today i joined jesse bright and early for another tour of some new to me roads. paoli to just short of new glaurus. we headed sw through dailyville and the year's first of may trips through blue mounds. blue mounds trail and union valley are real buggers at this time of year. the deep burn was evident. through cross plains and into the typical schneider headwind. about five and a quarter hours to put the last two days damn near ten hours. its only just beginning.

welcome back.

223 photos will only get you so far. my camera battery is dead and the charger is mia. despite the conditions and the words, the winter has been good to me. the miles are piled and stacked in perfect jenga style with no end in sight. bits are being procured for the ultimate build, or builds rather. over stimulation of bike twitch cells. so much being thrown this way and it wont be taken for granted. big news for a little bit down the road. i'll let it leak out on its own. enough. peruse. buy. enjoy.
