two minutes til midnight.
headed over to lacrosse for the state ss champs early this morning. after sleeping through my 5:15 wakeup i was out of bed at six with a knock at the door from jesse. after a quick bagel stop, the van took off with jesse, djonn mckittens, and myself. got to the course with just over an hour to spare. register, poop, warmup. at ten we took off with about a five hundred meter le mans. jesse and i hit the bikes first and i jet to the front to pull. a prologue lap around the prairie spread it out quickly. jesse took over just before the first half lap of singletrack. tickin away, we opened up a gap going into the first full lap. neither jesse or i were riding that well, dabbin in the techy singletrack. a few miles into the full lap there was a double set of logs up hill. five bills if you rode em without dabbing. i followed jesse right up em and grabbed my five dollars. the hills were quickly taking their toll. my legs werent feeling all that well to begin with. we headed into lap two. jesse slowly seemed to be gapping me. i finally realized i was losing time and tried to latch on. that didnt happen. i rode pretty sloppily through a mile long section and by the end, jesse took the win by 46 seconds. local homeboy josh shively rolled in for third around seven or eight minutes back, then came ron, then another local, then devin. djonn rocked it for the bkb with tim finishing not far behind, despite tacoing his wheel. murphykate took the women's title with rachael rolling in for second. great course. loved the
singletrack. it was challenging, but that's good. the race directors did an awesome job on all ends. jesse took home two rad trophys and i got a poster of the race flyer. free food after the race. nice. griff was rippin in the twelve hour when we left. i cant imagine the pain those guys go through. on another note, huge thanks to claire cannon and murphykate montee for some monetary support for getting to sswc. tim said murphykate was giving me her baby sitting money. not sure if he was joking or not, but either way, im very grateful. thank you to everyone who has helped me out so far. check out the bike cult gallery for some pics.

Hey man...I hope you enjoy the poster and that it came out of the tube alright. I silk screened them on that thicker paper, so they were a bear to roll into the tubes. Anyway, nice riding and thanks for coming to LaCrosse and supporting our local race.
